No R-5 site shall exceed ten (10) acres in size. The set back on lots adjoining any other residential classifications shall conform to the side yard set back requirements of the adjacent classification. In all R-5 zoning districts, the location of the first unit constructed shall dictate the property line on which all other units shall be build, so as to avoid any unusable lots in the district.
NOTES: Corner lot side depth: 15 feet. Parking requirements: Two (2) spaces per living unit. No building shall exceed thirty-five (35) feet in height.

Although the City of Walker does not provide electricity, we do require that residents inside the city limits obtain an occupancy permit before Entergy can connect your service. The fee for that permit is $20. After you have been approved for utility service, the clerk will provide you with the proper paperwork to connect your electricity.


New construction of any residential structure shall have the lowest floor elevated one foot above the base flood elevation.
