(1) All building permits for proposed new development or redevelopment within the Donaldsonville corporate limits in the flood hazard areas must be reviewed by the city planning commission with respect to flood prevention measures. Approval shall be granted only after compliance with the following provisions, as determined by the commission:

(3) Existing developments and structures located on land below the elevation of the one hundred (100) year flood in flood hazard areas shall not be expanded unless they comply with the standards cited in Section VI, G, 2 of the subdivision regulations adopted by the city council of Donaldsonville. (4) No use of land located in a flood hazard area shall increase the one hundred (100) year flood level more than one (1) foot. |

Sec. 5-9. - City residential exteriors; requirements: All structures which are built for human habitation within the city shall have on the exterior of said structures materials which comport and are in harmony with the residential structures in the surrounding neighborhood. No residential structure shall have an exterior material which looks like corrugated iron, channel iron, tin, are any similar materials, the exterior of all homes in the residential area shall contain common building materials such as brick, aluminum or vinyl siding, masonite, wood, and other materials which are common and conformed to the character of the neighborhood in which said structure is to be built.
Structures in the historical district shall conform to the historical district ordinance and regulations adopted by the historical district commission.
The City is on the line of Levee districts. Mainly in the Lafourche Basin Levee District but touches the Atchafalaya Basin Levee District. MAY NEED a Letter of No Objection
